A model trained on one basin often fails on another. Different acquisition, noise, frequency content and geology mean that accuracy on familiar data says little about the next field.

How GeoDeep handles it

The GeoDeep Seismic Foundation Model has already learned general seismic patterns from large volumes of unlabeled data.

Experts label a small number of lines from the new basin in the Labeling Studio.

A lightweight adapter is trained for the basin, with augmentation for amplitude, frequency, phase and noise.

The adapter is validated by holding out one survey at a time, and data unlike anything the model has seen is flagged automatically.

The candidate is registered with its model card and moves into production only after expert approval, with monitoring from the first day.

- Getting started in a new basin takes only a small labeling effort.
- Performance is measured on unseen surveys, not only on training data.
- Every basin adapter is documented, versioned and monitored.
